Description

A complete application-level study was carried out for the transformer fire protection system, including hydraulic calculations and network sizing.

The scope included detailed design of the fire protection piping network for both transformers and its integration with an existing connection point within the substation facility.

Deliverables comprised 3D application drawings, layouts, sections, construction details, material take-off lists, and isometric drawings of piping and supporting structures.

The project concerned the installation of two new 14.450 MWe diesel gas turbine units intended for installation within a PPC (Public Power Corporation) substation on Lesvos Island, to cover peak power demand. Our scope focused on the full detailed design of the fire protection system serving the two power transformers.
