Description
The core scope of the study focused on the production and distribution of thermal and cooling energy from the New Energy Center (NEC) to the individual thermal substations serving the monastery’s building wings. The project required the design of a centralized energy generation plant and an extended underground thermal network ensuring reliable and energy-efficient transfer of heating and cooling loads.
The engineering approach emphasized sustainability, operational reliability and long-term energy autonomy, while respecting the architectural and environmental sensitivity of the monastic complex.
